Pacific backtracks at Pebble Beach
At Pebble Beach, the Tigers sank from tied for eighth after Monday to tied for 14th after Tuesday, after 36 holes of play at the Saint Mary’s Invitational at Poppy Hills. Pacific freshman Tyler Burnes, who shot an even-par 71 in his first round of collegiate golf Monday, posted a 9-over 80 Tuesday. He’s still Pacific’s leader, but is tied for 45th at 151.

Pacific junior ranked
Miguel Diaz opens this season ranked 124th in singles by the ITA. Diaz was named to the All-West Coast Conference first team for singles last season, and earned All-WCC doubles honorable mention with partner Jose Chamba. Diaz finished the season 19-15 in singles and with 15 wins in doubles.
